IMPORTANT PAYMENT POLICY INFORMATION

An annual registration fee of $25/family is included in your registration fees.
This annual registration fee will allow you to enroll in as many classes and for as many individuals of your family for the 2022-23 school year.


Payment is due upon registration. If a payment plan is needed please email info@artandwildernessinstitute.com to arrange incremental payments. 

DROP FEES: SUMMER
Apr. 1-Apr. 30, 2022: Forfeit 25%
May 1-May 30: Forfeit 50%
June-Start of Camp: Forfeit 75%
During Camp: Forfeit 100%


*AWI's Drop, Change, and Refund Policies apply to ALL AWI families. When paying with charter funds, if some or all of the fees are not paid for by the charter school for any reason, families are responsible for any remaining amount not paid for by their charter school.  Any family not in good financial standing will need office approval prior to registering for any upcoming session.

Small classes are subject to cancellation. If a class is cancelled, families will be notified 1-2 weeks before class begins. Paid class fees for cancelled classes will be refunded in full.

Get ready for some investigating fun this summer. Nature Forensics Summer Camp is a fun and educational experience for kids interested in environmental science, nature, and investigation. Students will have the opportunity to explore the great outdoors, learn about different aspects of nature, and develop their critical thinking skills through hands-on activities and investigations. Students will learn about the basics of nature forensics, including what it is, how it is used, and why it is important. They would also learn about the different types of evidence that can be found in nature and how to collect it properly. They will also learn about different aspects of wildlife forensics, including animal tracks, scat, and fur analysis. They would have the opportunity to collect and analyze evidence in the field, and to practice identifying different species based on the evidence they find. Students will learn about the various ways that plants can be used as evidence in environmental investigations, including the analysis of leaf shapes, bark patterns, and seed dispersal patterns. They would have the opportunity to collect and analyze evidence from different types of plants and to identify different species based on their unique characteristics. Students will also about the importance of stream and water forensics in environmental investigations, including the analysis of water quality, stream flow, and the presence of pollutants. Throughout the program, students will work in small groups to complete hands-on activities and investigations. Students will leave the program with a deeper appreciation for the natural world, and a better understanding of the importance of environmental investigations in preserving our planet for future generations.

Do you love the wonderful world of magic and mystery? Magical Potions Nature Camp is a fun and educational program for children interested in the magical natural world. Magic Potions camp focuses on exploring the outdoors, learning about different types of plants and herbs, and creating their own "magic potions" using natural ingredients. Students will spend time exploring the great outdoors, learning about different types of plants and their properties. They will have the opportunity to collect ingredients to create their own magic potions. They will learn about the various ways that different ingredients can be combined to create different effects and would have the opportunity to experiment with different recipes. Students will leave the program with a deeper appreciation for the natural world and its many wonders, and with a newfound understanding of the magic of nature.

Are you ready for some bubble fun? Bubble Burst Camp is a fun and interactive program designed to challenge children's critical thinking and problem-solving skills all the while having a great time outdoors. The camp would be centered around the concept of "bursting" various types of bubbles, including bubbles in science, mathematics, and other subjects. Children will be introduced to the concept of bubbles and learn about the different types of bubbles that exist in science, mathematics, and other subjects. They would also learn about the properties of bubbles and how to measure and analyze them. They will learn about the physics of bubbles, the chemistry of bubble solutions, and the biology of soap films. They would have the opportunity to conduct experiments, build bubble-blowing machines, and analyze the properties of different types of bubbles. You are in for a “bubble-tastic” week!

In this 3 day (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday) intensive come learn survival skills with one of the best in the field. Christopher Nyergesh is the founder of the School of Self-Reliance, who has been teaching ethnobotany and survival skills since 1974. He has authored nearly two dozen books, including "How to Survive Anywhere," and "Foraging California." He served for 7 years as the editor of Wilderness Way magazine, and he continues to regularly teach. In this camp students will learn about common in-season wild plants, how to create a simple shelter, make fire, and cook wild foods.
