Join the Art and Wilderness Institute on a Journey to transform your life and become people who live sustainability. We are a culture of waste and consumption, this hands-on 4-part series will tackle these issues and more.

January 18: Intro & Bathroom

The introduction will give a foundational basis to understanding the climate crisis, how have we gotten to this point, what are the solutions and shifts and how can we be part of the solution. We’ll start by making all the bathroom essentials, these are the easiest changes that will give you the confidence to tackle the harder lifestyle changes.

February 8 : Food Issues & Kitchen

After completing a trash audit, you’ll find most of what is thrown into the bin comes from consumption habits related to the kitchen. We’ll delve into the history of agriculture and the inspiring movement that provides us with the most impactful tool for change. We’ll learn several skills for making meals a vote, three times a day.

March 7 : Materials & Bedroom

Fashion is the second most polluting industry in the world. It is also the area of incredible innovation and change. Learn to make informed and ethical decisions about what you wear, sleep on and how to properly care for them.

April 4 - Conclusion & Miscellaneous

The last session is for reviewing the macro concepts and addressing the micro situations that lead to clutter and unwholesome consumption. We’ll address kids play, must haves for seasonal colds, event and holiday preparation and clean up. We’ll practice saying no to the unnecessary clutter and saying yes to the valuable experiences in life.
